Quick questions

Does my shop need an app?

No. They text you the link, you tap it. No app to download, no login, ever — for either of you.

Is this free for me?

Yes. It’s your shop’s tool, not yours. They use it to keep you updated; you just open the links they send.

Can I actually get this from my own shop?

Yes — copy the pre-written message above and forward it to them. Most pros set it up in 2 minutes; the free tier covers their first 5 jobs/month.

Why shops run repairs through a live tracker

The front counter phone at a busy shop rings all day, and most of it is one question: any update on my car. Shop owners in industry forums count twenty-plus missed calls on a bad day, and every answered one pulls a tech out from under the hoist or interrupts the service writer mid-estimate. The customer is not being difficult. Their car is their ride to work, and silence from the shop reads as bad news.

The second choke point is estimate approval. The diagnosis is done, the car is on the hoist, and the customer is unreachable at work, so the bay sits blocked for hours. A tracking page attacks both problems. Status updates go out automatically as the job moves, so the update calls stop. The estimate sits on the same page with photos of the worn pads and scored rotors, so the customer can see exactly why the work is needed and approve it from their phone in a meeting break. Photos of the actual parts do more for trust than any phone explanation ever has.

What the demo above is showing

In the demo above, Sideroad Automotive walks Dave's brake job through six stages:

  1. 1

Checked in: the Civic is received and the concern is logged, so nothing gets lost between the counter and the bay.

  2. 2

Diagnostic: the tech documents pad wear and rotor scoring with photos that go straight to the page.

  3. 3

Estimate sent: an itemized estimate lands on the page for one-tap approval. The demo is parked at this stage: no wrench turns until Dave approves.

  4. 4

In service: once approved, the customer watches the job move without calling.

  5. 5

Quality check: the shop verifies the work before handover.

  6. 6

Ready for pickup: an automatic text tells Dave the car is done.

Auto Repair Shop questions

Can customers approve repair estimates from the tracking page?

Yes. The estimate shows line items, parts, and labour. The customer taps to approve and the approval is recorded on the job. If they go quiet, you can send a reminder from the job page.

Does the customer see diagnostic photos?

Yes. Photos you attach during diagnosis appear on the tracking page, next to the estimate. Worn pads photographed on the bench close approvals faster than any phone call.

Will this actually cut the update calls?

That is the core of the product. The customer gets a text automatically each time the stage changes and can check the link any time, so the phone stops being the only window into your shop.

Our shop has its own flow. Can the stages match it?

Yes. Stages are fully customizable, so you can rename or reorder them to match your intake-to-pickup process exactly.
