How to create a new job in FixyFlow — customer details, trade, stages, and what your customer sees when the tracking link goes out.

Creating a new job
Click New Job from the dashboard or the bottom navigation on mobile. Fill in:
- Customer Name (required) — the customer's full name
- Customer Phone — for SMS notifications. Without this, no SMS will be sent
- Customer Email — for email notifications
- Job Description (required) — what needs to be done
What happens when you create a job?
The job is created at your first workflow stage (e.g., "Received" or "Booked"). No notification is sent yet. The customer only gets notified when you move the job to the next stage.
This gives you time to inspect the item, confirm details, or do any initial assessment before reaching out.
SMS marketing consent
When you enter a phone number, you'll see a consent checkbox for promotional SMS (thank-you messages, review requests). Status update notifications are always sent — the consent checkbox only controls marketing messages.
After creating a job
You'll be taken to the job detail page where you can:
- Move the job to the next stage (this sends the notification)
- Set an estimated ready time (ETA)
- Add photos
- Send an estimate
- Copy the tracking link to share manually
