SMS Notifications: When We Text, What Customers See
When FixyFlow sends SMS, what your customer sees, how 10DLC consent works, and how to disable specific stages from texting.
When is SMS sent?
SMS notifications are sent when you move a job to a new stage. No SMS is sent when you first create a job — this gives you time to inspect and assess before notifying the customer.
The SMS includes your business name, the new status, and a link to the tracking page:
Ace Auto: Your job status is now "In Progress".

Final stage — no SMS
When a job reaches the final stage (e.g., "Picked Up"), no SMS is sent — only an email notification. This prevents an unnecessary text after the customer has already collected their item.
SMS consent
There are two types of SMS:
- Status updates — always sent when you advance a stage (if the customer has a phone number)
- Marketing messages — thank-you messages, review requests. These require the marketing consent checkbox to be checked when creating the job
Notification preferences
In Settings → Notification Preferences, you can toggle SMS and email notifications on/off globally for your business.
SMS limits
Each plan has a monthly SMS limit. Check your usage in Settings → Billing & Plan. If you hit the limit, you can upgrade your plan for more.
