How long does FixyFlow setup take?
Under 5 minutes. Sign up, fill in your business name and phone, pick a workflow template, and create your first job.
Most operators are sending their first tracking link inside 5 minutes from signup. The flow is:
- Sign up with email or Google at fixyflow.com/signup (no credit card on the Free plan).
- Enter your business name and phone number. This is what appears on the customer's tracking page and in every SMS, so customers always know who is texting them.
- Pick a workflow template (Repair Shop, Mobile/On-Site, Project, or Simple Drop-off). You can rename or reorder stages later.
- Click New Job, enter a customer's name, phone, and a one-line description, and you're done.
The customer doesn't get an SMS when you create the job. Messages only fire when you move the job to the next stage, which gives you time to inspect and assess first.
A concrete example
Say you run a small appliance repair company and a homeowner calls about a dead dishwasher at 9:00 am. You sign up at 9:05, pick the Mobile/On-Site template, and create the job at 9:08 with the homeowner's name and cell number. When you tap "On My Way" at 10:30, they get their first text with the tracking link. Total admin time before the first customer-facing message: about 8 minutes, most of which was typing your own business details.
What you can safely leave for later
Nothing about setup is one-way. Custom stages, your Google review link, photo attachments, and the payment link on the tracking page can all be configured after your first few jobs are flowing. A common pattern is to run the default template for a week, notice which stage names don't match how you actually talk to customers, and rename them then. There's no onboarding call to book and no implementation period; the tool is small enough that the dashboard itself is the training.
